No talking please

Changed the furnace filter today... you know what that means, we are officially out of the drywall dust! Yeah! The days are flying by and  so  are the projects that are still needing attention. due  to the Christmas holidays I was fortunate to have some helpers, my daughters Amber and my sister Cathy were able to join me in the painting adventure. I did all the cutting in around the ceiling and too my sisters surprise I have improved allot.First we did one coat of primer on all the walls and ceiling, next Paul and I tackled stippling the ceiling .That was very interesting. We had to tape up plastic over all the walls in the house to protect them from the over spray. Then we covered up ourselves to protect us  from the over spray... felt like someone who was is on a hasmat team ready for a big job! It took longer to tape the wall than to do to the ceilings. It looks great! Next on to the 1st coat of European white(looks like taupe, not sure who makes up these colors) Made it through half the house when I stopped to assess are progress, to my horror I realized that for some reason the color that we used to cut in around the edges was not the same as the color we rolled on the wall! Someone made a boob. Thinking back to the day I had the paint tinted to my color I was taken care of by two young guys, they were consumed in conversation as they prepared 8 cans of paint . Asking if I wanted them to open all the cans to check  I replied that I'm sure they are fine, thinking well... it is all done by computer now....  forgetting that its is still humans that run the computer! What I learned this week is always double  check .
